Men's and Women's Rodeo Team Get Back on the Saddle in First Competition of the Year
The Central Wyoming College rodeo team had an outstanding weekend, with multiple top finishes at the Chadron State College rodeo from September 5-7. The Rustlers' strong performance was highlighted by several individual placings.
The team's success was powered by exceptional individual efforts. In the Bareback Riding event, sophomore Eian Smith secured a solid third-place finish in the overall standings, earning crucial points for the team, and Freshman Jonah Bustad finished eighth in Tie Down Roping.
The women's team also saw strong competition, with standout performances in multiple events. While no CWC women placed in the top four of barrel racing, they competed fiercely and showed great promise for the rest of the season.
The next rodeo on the schedule will be hosted by CWC at the Riverton Fair Grounds on September 19, 20 & 21.
