CWC Volleyball Dominates Postseason Honors: Five Rustlers Earn NJCAA Region 9 Accolades
RIVERTON, WY – The Central Wyoming College Rustler Volleyball team capped a successful season by securing multiple individual honors, with five athletes earning prestigious NJCAA Region 9 All-Conference and All-Tournament awards.
Sophomores Presley Ryan and Rachel Workman led the way, each being named to the First Team All-Region 9. Ryan led the team in kills (354) and kills per set (2.81), and Workman was a force on the net with the second highest hitting percentage (0.233) on the team.
Joining them in the post-season honors is Hallie Johnson, who was named to the Second Team All-Region 9. Johnson led the team in digs (479), and received multiple Region 9-North Defensive Player of the Week recognitions during the season.
The Rustlers' deep run in the Region 9 Tournament was further recognized as two key sophomores were selected for the All-Tournament Team. Middle blocker Laina Whitney and outside hitter Nora Rasmussen both delivered outstanding performances under pressure during the championship bracket play, each racking up 45 and 42 kills across five total tournament games, respectively.
