Riverton, WY — The Central Wyoming College Women's Basketball Rustlers delivered an impressive display of skill and teamwork, securing back-to-back victories in the Rustler Gym on December 12 and 13, significantly improving their season record to 6-8.

Rustlers Dominate North Platte Community College (79-55)

On December 12, the Rustlers triumphed over North Platte Community College with a final score of 79-55. CWC established control early, building a solid 37-19 lead by halftime.

  • Key Scorers: Bella Sika led the scoring with 20 points, closely followed by Lexie Kesler, who added 19 points. Laura Ring also contributed 13 points. 

  • All-Around Play: Laura Ring was notable for leading the team in both assists (5) and rebounds (6). 

  • Defense: Aliyah Newton made a significant defensive impact, leading the team with 5 steals.

CWC Clinches Resounding Victory Over Wyoming All-Stars (107-45)

The momentum continued on December 13, as the Rustlers clinched a resounding victory against the Wyoming All-Stars, finishing with a score of 107-45. The Rustlers started strong, ending the first half with a dominant 55-19 lead.

  • Key Scorers: Lexie Kesler led the charge with 19 points. Keira Lincoln (12 points), Aliyah Newton (13 points), and Laura Ring (11 points) also contributed significantly. 

  • Playmaking and Defense: Bella Sika efficiently orchestrated the offense, recording a team-high 7 assists and 5 steals. 

  • Rebounding: Sophie Wilkinson anchored the defensive end, securing 11 rebounds.
