Congratulations to Sandra Dawson on being chosen as the Central Wyoming College Student Athlete of the Week!

Sandra is a freshman on the Rustler Ranch Horse team. She hails from Jefferson, IA, and chose Central Wyoming to study Meat Processing. 

Head CWC Ranch Horse Coach Jori Skaggs nominated Dawson because; "Sandra has such a big heart! I don't doubt that she is going to succeed at anything she sets her mind to. Sandra purchased her gelding shortly before school started. She had very little time to ride him before school due to an injury he acquired. Sandra attended her first days of college on a horse she had very little experience with. Her gelding, Mobster, has presented her with a lot of challenges and quirks. She continually works to learn more about her horse and has done an incredible job bringing out the best in him. Sandra has such a kind and caring personality. Something I am learning about her is that she is very competitive but has such a respectful way of internalizing it. Sandra chooses her biggest competitor to be herself, and it is truly admirable to me. We are so lucky to have her on our team!"
